St. Pete Beach, FL

Another long weekend on the gulf side. This time we stayed at The Beachcomber, home of Jimmy B's Beach Bar. Where there is a fantastic patio and live music nightly. One thing to consider is alcohol is technically not permitted on the beach here, however, as long as it is not obvious we did not have any trouble.

We did tourist things that typical midwesterners would do. Such as rent a floating tiki bar at Florida Tiki Tours located in John's Pass for a few hours. We've done this several times and it is a great way to get out to in the water and is pretty inexpensive. Booking link here! https://floridatikitours.com/. Then we wondered around John's Pass and did some shopping.

Next, we visited Caddy's on the Beach! A place for tourists and locals alike. This is one of our must do stops each time we visit Florida. Technically this one is on Treasure Island, and is the original location that features a rooftop patio and cabana rentals right on the beach. Perfect place for some refreshing drinks and tasty snacks.

We always pick one night for a nice sit down dinner, most of the time we eat small plates as we are wondering throughout the day. This time we choose Snapper's. The Blue Tuna appetizer was amazing and for my entree I got the pair of Petite South African Lobster Tails. The meal was fantastic!

The four day weekends are never long enough but you cannot beat the direct flight out of DSM on Allegiant!
