We stayed at the Hilton President in Kansas City. Built in 1926, this beautiful hotel is located in The power and Light District, and is recognized by Historic Hotels of America. You'll find yourself surrounded by restaurants, theaters and just blocks away from the convention center.
Before dinner we stopped at the Drum Room Lounge located inside the hotel, this classic bar has been a staple to the hotel since 1941 and enjoyed by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline and many others. There is tons of history both within the hotel and The Drum Room! I could have hung out here the whole evening!
We then walked down the street for our early dinner reservation to Bristol Seafood + Steak + Social, where we were greeted by several wait staff immediately. I had the Sea Bass and my husband had the filet. Both meals were prepared to perfection and the service was amazing. We then received a complimentary champagne toast to help celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was fun and intimate at the same time, can't wait to go back!
After dinner we weren't quite sure where we wanted to go, we had looked up several bars in the area but hadn't decided as there are tons of places in the power and light district. We walked back towards Hilton President and passed B&B Theatre. We just happened to glance in the window and see live music setting up inside the theatre at Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grill so decided to turn around and check it out. I am so glad we did! We had the best time watching them play all night! Such a fun atmosphere!
All in all, a perfect one night visit to Kansas City!
